Daily Life Hacks


For those of you who are unfamiliar with what a life hack is, it is something that you can do to help save time and still look and feel good. A life hack can also be a way to stay sane in an era full of stress! Here are some tips to help you avoid running into an physical crisis. Expect 5 new hacks every week.

1. Lotion Bottle Trick

Why it helps: When your bottle of lotion is nearing its end and the remaining lotion creeps to the corners of the bottle, this makes it a breeze to get the last part of the lotion out of the bottle before you throw it away.
What it works with: This hack works with almost any lotion bottle but is best done with oblong shaped lotion bottles.
How to do it: Safely use a pair of scissors and cut the bottle horizontally across until it is completely seperated from the other side. Close the lotion up by slipping the one side of the bottle over the other side of the bottle.

2. Earbud Trick

Why it helps: This is the most useful when you carry around earbuds with long drawn out cords that get tangled up with everything.
What it works with: Headphones with a straight cord and an empty spool.
How to do it: wrap your headphones around the spool and take them wherever you go tangle-free.

3.Deodorant Trick

Why it helps: Use this hack to avoid looking like a sweat monster especially if you are a nervous sweater.
What it works with: Works best with solid deodorant. I usually use the powder fresh Secret brand but any white light odor deodorant will work.
How to do it: Rub a SMALL amount of deodorant in areas where you normally sweat making sure to avoid the face, personal, and sensitive areas.

4.Eye Li-dow (eye liner/eye shadow) trick.

Why it helps: This makes you look like you spent hours getting ready when it actually only took 20 minutes.
What it works with: Use a light colored liqiud eyeliner and/or a favorite eyeliner
How to do it: Line the top of your eye as you would normally. Once you achieve a straight enough line with the regular eyeliner start filling in the rest of the eyelid withe liquid half way up and allow it to dry.

5. Be Optimistic


Why it helps: If you look at everything bad in your life at one time it can be overwhelming. Being more positive can increase yor health among other things.
What it works with: Yourself
How to do it: Try to think more positively throughout your day in order to train your brain to think that way!
